Ok, I apologize if this is TMI, but it's starting to bug me. I'm 2.5 weeks s/p D & C, and bled moderate bright red for 5 days, stopped for a day or so, then bled again for another few days. Ok.....so off and on, mostly on, for the last week, I've had what I'll call discharge, light brown, kind of what I would get at the very beginning or end of a period. Not even enough to warrant a pad/tampon, just evident on the tissue.
I'd like to think this is normal/expected, but don't really know. I REALLY don't think this is AF, b/c it's way too soon, but who knows? My OB did an internal on Friday, and didn't have any concerns......any thoughts? Again, sorry if TMI....
Re: this can't be AF....right?

just out of curiosity, are you charting? i ask because if you're charting your temps, then you'd know if you ovulated, and if this could actually be AF or not. a true menstrual period only comes after you ovulated and is the disintegration of the tissue lining in your ute. but there could be other reasons for your spotting, and they pretty much all revolve around those pesky hormones.
are you in any pain? have you had a follow up with your dr-- is he checking your hormone levels or anything? you may want to call the office and just give a heads up on the spotting. chances are, they may tell you to wait and see if it stops or call later in the week, but at least they'll know what's going on. they may also want to call you in sooner rather than later to make sure there's no "products of conception" leftover.
after my d&c i had on again off again bleeding and spotting for a week... then it stopped, and two weeks later i started spotting, just like you're describing. almost two weeks later, the spotting turned heavy and bright red, like a period but lighter than normal. a week later, everything stopped and i was back to a regular cycle. so although this may not be a "true" period for you, i don't think it's a bad sign-- your body is probably just trying to get back on track, and even if this cycle was a bit unusual, hopefully next cycle will be back to normal.
That sounds exactly like how I was after my D&C.
You have to have NO bleeding/spotting at least 22-25 days in order to call your next bleeding episode AF.
I'm so sorry for your loss. It took 69 days for AF to show after my D&C.
Nothing's 'normal' with m/c's. They are all so different. But I do know you cannot get AF until 3-4 wks after your HCG levels hit 0. I feel like you would not already have AF this early on. My m/c surprised me as it was completely inconsistent- a couple days heavy, then maybe light for a few, then maybe nothing, then back to heavy.
Sorry about your loss.
