High-Risk Pregnancy

praying for good news

I called my mom today.  she is a nurse in the same office as my ob.  i wanted her to check my charts and see if my tests came back, since i hadnt heard from my nurse yet.  she got quiet and said "there is a note that he needs to discuss your results at your friday appointment."  I have pre-e and my bp seems to be getting worse, dispite medications....anyone else had anything like this happen?  am i getting worked up over nothing?  im trying not to worry, because it doesnt help the situation.  thanks for letting me get that off my chest.  if anyone has advice or words of wisdom i would love to hear it

Relax.  It's Tuesday and they want to discuss them on Friday.  If it was ominous, they would have called you with the results or had you come in sooner.  They may be slightly worse-- but if they were bad enough to hurt you or your baby between now and then, you'd already know them.  Take a deep breath.  Go in there thinking positive.  GL.

  • I totally agree with the above poster. I work in an OBGYN office (as a nurse) and theres no way we would wait 3 days if it was bad news

  • First I am super impressed that your mom is following hippa and not telling you - I would be bugging the crap outta my mom!

I agree with the others. If/when pre-e gets bad, it is bad and there is no 3 days of waiting...so while things may be worse than before, I def. do not think you are in bad shape - I would actually take waiting till fri as a good sign!  Best of luck.
