Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

weight issues post d&e/c?

is there a biological reason that after my d&e i can't lose weight?  i don't think i can blame it on depression eating, and i have really upped my cardio (but not weight lifting, so i doubt it's muscle)....i am just so frustrated that i have all this post-preggo weight, and i don't even have a baby!  it's like a double slap...

i know some others have noticed weight gain or similar problems, but i have no idea what to blame it on.

  • I am just now getting back to where I was prepreggo and its been since April and I could still lose a few.  GL getting back to where you want to be :)

  • Before my two losses, I could loose weight like it was nothing, now, I can't loose weight to save my life. It really sucks.

Wish I knew what it was. I have been trying to lose weight since d&e, and no luck. I agree, it really sucks to not be pregnant and still have some of the prego weight.
  • I feel the same way...I guess our hormones are still all over the place. It's been almost 6 weeks since my D & C and I feel like I have not lost a pound despite going to the gym at least 3 times a week. Although, I did notice today, that I am probably doing a little too much snacking which isn't helping.

  • I delivered vaginally, but am having the same issues!  I think I've actually stayed the same I was while pg - which was over 20 lbs more than pre-pg - so frustrating.  I always thought that dealng with and breastfeeding two babies would help take the weight off post-pg and now I'm out-of-luck on both accounts.  It's a very hard thing for me to get over, especially when none of my clothes fit.  Plus I'm not supposed to really work out yet b/c I'm really anemic.  I have my follow-up appt finally next week and I plan on asking about this, so hopefully I'll have an answer then.

I am in the same boat as you with the two baby thing and the clothes not fitting.  I can't wait for my DR to give me to OK to wtart working out again.
