The receptionist for our office area is a total AW. She is just one of those really loud, flaky people who insists on being at the center of everything and making it "all about her".
Right now she is literally running around to everyone in our area and breathlessly announcing "I'm leaving for the day! I'm going to go have a baby!". No. Her daughter in law (who she has badmouthed since day 1 of her pregnancy) is going to have a baby. I don't know why, but it is just really grating on my nerves. I have heard her say it at least 15 times and I think if I hear it again I may have to throw something at her head. If I was her daughter in law I think I would want to get up out of the hospital bed and say "By all means, have at it!"
Guess I am just cranky today!

Trying again..
It's nice that she is excited but, must be odd for those of you who have heard the bad-mouthing.
It annoys me when people other than the parents call a baby "my baby". My MIL has already started asking my belly, "How's my baby?" and I keep correcting her and responding, "You mean, how's your grandchild?" I love her and I'm thrilled that she is excited but, she already had her baby and raised him, now it's our baby and our turn.
