Babies: 0 - 3 Months

How often do you bathe your baby?

Everyday? Every other day? Couple times a week?

Re: How often do you bathe your baby?

  • Every third day at bedtime or if she has a big blow out.  Otherwise, her skin gets too dry and she isn't ever really "dirty" anyways.

  • i bathe DD every other day. her pedi said everyday would dry out her skin. of course if she's really sweaty or spits up a ton then she gets a bathe regardless.

  • everyday as part of bedtime routine. she was starting to develop eczema though so the pedi told me not to use J&J baby wash and to use Dove unscented for sensitive skin and now she is like velvet.
  • We do every day. She doesn't ever get dried out.

  • now i wipe her down every day with a sponge bath (otherwise she smells like cheese with the teething spit/spitting up) and gets a full fledged bath every other night before bed (unless she is super messy or something)

  • My pedi told me 1 bath per week for each month old LO is; up until they start solids then baths will most likely need to be everyday.  We tend to do 1-2/week depending on what we did during the week.  LO doesn't get really dirty anyways.

  • Every night - it's part of the bedtime routine.  We started it when we couldn't handle the witching hour any more - it's made a big difference.

  • We bath her 2-3 times a week unless she has vomited a lot or had a diaper blow out. Her skin was getting too dried out if we tried to do it more often,
  • Twice a week, my DSs skin gets dry otherwise.  We will probably start every other day once daycare begins
  • every other day
  • Every other day as part of his bedtime routine - I'm sure I could do it every three or four days, but he enjoys it.  On the alternating days I just wipe him down with a washcloth before bed.

  • Twice a week...she has major dryness on her face & I am busy bathing 2 other kids all the other nights.  Once she has better head control, her skin clears up & I can do it easily by myself, I'll add more.  When I just had the one infant we did it much more frequently.
