So I went for my ultrasound to check out my lining and my ovaries today... no real news there since it was just some super nerdy tech who didn't say much and I didn't know what I was looking for.
He did tell me that my ovaries we "quite symmetrical"... greeeeeat
I talked to the nurse about my bloodwork and she told me that my thyroid and glucose were normal, but my hormones were consistent with PCOS. She said that the doc wanted to review my ultrasound before she made a determination though. I should hear more in the AM.
I'm seriously overwhelmed... I have no idea what this could all mean.
Re: Operation Missing AF Update
Crazy! I hope your doctor gets back to you soon with some answers.
How were your cycles before your first pregnancy?
I got pg on my first (long) cycle off birth control. I was on birth control for 6 years before that. Before I went on the pill, I never paid attention to my cycles... I just got my period when it came. So, honestly, no clue.
Lame, I know.
I was the same way and now have long cycles. My bloodwork came back normal, no PCOS, but they didn't do an u/s. Good luck, I hope you get some answers!
I'm sorry. :-( I hope they find an answer for you. I was just dx with PCOS in June by u/s. My labs were all normal though. I had regular 35-40 day cycles before starting birth control pills and was only on them for 19 months, then afterwards had one cycle and then NOTHING without the help of Prometrium. I went 4 months without a period before I finally went to the doctor, and now I finally have an answer after 16 months of being off the birth control. PCOS is very treatable, so try not to be discouraged!!
