3rd Trimester

How many of you have loved being pregnant?

I am just curious...

I have had a really wonderful, symptom-free pregnancy.  I have gained very little weight and I have not felt better since I was training for a marathon a few years ago.  I LOVE being pregnant and I think I am going to really miss all the positive attention I get from my hubby, family, and friends.

Don't get me wrong, I am totally excited about giving birth and our little girl arriving safely.  But, I do love bring pregnant and am going to miss it.

I have loved being pregnant up until probably last week, when being uncomfortable ALL THE TIME just took over.  If I didn't have to work I'm sure I'd continue to love being pregnant, but sitting here at work with a constant back ache that makes me want to cry is just getting to me.
  • I've loved being pregnant.

I didn't ever have morning sickness, I had only a few aches and pains.  I'm getting induced tomorrow, and I just threw in a couple maternity shirts for coming home -- as I was deciding which to take, I got a little sad that I'm nearly done being pregnant!!

  • I'll have to agree with you too. I've had a very easy pregnancy and I'm so grateful for it. Compared to my last pregnancy 4 years ago, this is a piece of cake!

I've enjoyed it since the spotting stopped. Before that, I was too scared to enjoy it.

  • I loved being pg up until a few weeks ago.....Now I'm just tired, uncomfortable and blitchy all the time....

  • I would have put myself in that category up until a few days ago. Now I'm fighting intense fatigue, horrendous swelling, an inability to sleep anywhere but on the couch, aches, pains, etc. all over. So yeah, at 33 weeks I was loving pregnancy. Now, it's just something I need to get through to have my baby.

  • Me too! I can't wait to meet our lil boy, but he will be our last and I will definitely miss never being pregnant.

  • I loved being pregnant with my DS...I breezed right along with him!!  This time....well, it's a different story :(  I can't wait to be done!
  • I've loved it and for all the reasons you mentioned. Also, because I feel pretty proud of my 38 year old body for handling pregnancy in such a healthy way. We were worried in the beginning and I've always had body-image issues but after this, I feel proud of this "old" body. This is actually one of my worries - that I'll miss being pregnant and feel really sad when it's over.

  • not I.

I am absolutely over the moon about this baby, but I do not find pregancy an enjoyable journey.

Me too. I have had some of the bad side affects but it could have been WAY worse. I love feeling the baby moving and how I feel about my body. I'm going to miss being pregnant.

  • ME :)

I did have some of the symptoms, but I really enjoy having her with me all the time, and feeling her movements.

I've definitely enjoyed being pregnant so far. The only drawback has been my GD diagnosis but even that has been easy to deal with. I still have 6 weeks to go so it can all change, but I've loved being pregnant.so far.
  • I absolutely loved it until I hit 34 wks and developed PUPPPS. It was such a nightmare!!

Me.  If all of my pregnancies are like this I would be pregnant all the time!  I love it!

  • I've loved it, and it wasn't totally symptom free, I gained a normal amount of weight, and I've never run a marathon. :-)
    Dear Bump: You suck.
  • I have a love/hate relationship with pg.

Some days I really enjoy it, but some days I am too exhausted or sick to even think about it.

  • I love being pregnant. I have no complaints at all. I know I will miss having my little girl so close to me. I think a part of me may feel a bit lonely when she's born.
  • half and half.  right now i am starting not to enjoy it.

    I LOVE being pregnant.

Despite having had a m/c and being terrified of having another, having low progesterone and spotting in the beginning, having some m/s in the beginning, and failing my darn 1-hour glucose test a few weeks ago, I still love it!

I feel good, I think I look cute (ha) and feeling this baby inside my belly and looking forward to his arrival is the greatest thing EVER! Plus seeing how excited my DH is is so sweet, too. It's just such an exciting time.

  • Me and my pg have had our good and bad times. The first 4 monthes were hard. Then the last 4 monthes have been tough on and off with the weight gain and hip pain and swelling, but I still love this little thing growing inside me.?

  • There are parts of it I like and parts I don't. I've had a pretty good pregnancy so far, so I can't complain.

  • me! The fact that I have gained lots of weight doesn't even bother me much.  I've really enjoyed being pregnant and am sad to see it coming to an end...but super excited to finally hold my LO!
  • I'm LOVE that I'm grateful for being pregnant.  Is that a politically correct enough answer?
  • I feel the same way and maybe more intensely if it is possible; we went through IVF and $12,000.  We are so blessed that we got pregnant the first time, and I haven't taken a second for granted.  I can only hope we are able to get pregnant again!

  • I have had a very easy pregnancy - with literally no problems, the right amount of weight gain, etc.  I feel so guilty to say this but I do not like being pregnant at all.  I find the whole thing annoying.  I want the baby that comes at the end but I do not like being the center of attention, having people comment about my body, having to think a lot about what I eat, and not being able to physically do everything I could do before.  I also feel like I look like a complete dork pregnant.  I see other pregnant women and think they look cute but somehow I don't think I look very good pregnant.
  • Not me...for the most part. Being diagnosed with hyperemesis pretty much sealed the deal for me...I still take zofran because if I don't I feel like I'm back in the first trimester. I just want this to be over with....

  • I have really enjoyed pregnancy.  I have been really lucky to enjoy it so much and feel so good.
  • everything has been wonderful except for the feet swelling...i never knew my feet could get SO big and swollen...lately it's been feeling like the bottom of my foot (the ball) is swollen and it hurts to walk on it!.......
  • I also LOVE being prego.  The only bad thing that has happened was I had headaches from 13-16 weeks Everyday!   : )  !  I feel great a majority of the time and my husband has also said I am NICER!!!

  • I'm already thinking I can do this again...I want another little baby in a couple of years. Been a relatively normal pregnancy, without complications, just crazy emotions and normal weight gain. I can't wait to meet my son.
  • I wish I loved it but it has been one of the worst things to ever happen to me.  I have had mornign sickness the whole time unless they medicate me I do not eat.  I have not been able to gain weight.  I'm sick to death of taking it easy and just want to beable to do normal activities.  If DH and I didn't hate the though of an only child so much I would get fixed this just sucks to much to want to do it again.

  • i would have said i loved being pregnant up until week 33ish. right now I love it 6 out of 7 days a week, but at least one day a week my sciatica is killing me, i'm exhausted or my feet are swollen beyond recognition.
