When I first heard it I thought it was bad and why would someone do that to their kid. One of the dedications of a sandra boyton book (I think it's But Not the Hippopotamus) lists a Paisley and oddly it's grown on me since reading the book hundreds of times. I find it a little scary, but also gives me hope that if I love something it'll grow on the people in my life even if it's weird at first.
It's my pup's name, so I love it. I chose it because it's a Scotish town, but everyone does assume I named her after Brad. I was in Target and a couple called their daughter Paisley and I thought it was really cute, but I'm biased. While I love it for my dog, I'm not sure I'd use it for a kid. I agree that Ainsley (my favorite human baby name) is a good alternative.
Re: what do you think of Paisley?
nms but i do know a girl named haisley and i do like that...
it's called a kilt, he's scottish
This.
could be worse though...just nms
This. I could see your child being teased. This just isn't a good name.
This. You don't want to set your child up for a lifetime of teasing over her name. Kids can be cruel.
Definitely a fabric. I love the name Ainsley though, would your husband like that? It is sort of the same style.
This. I would choose Ainsley, Ansley, Ensley, Kenley, or Kinsley over "Paisley."
