High-Risk Pregnancy

for those with placenta previa

did yours move at all? mine was found to be complete previa at 16 weeks. dr. didn't seem that concerned but i can't exercise or lift anything. i go back august 10th and he said to 'plan' on a c-section if it hasn't moved at all by that point (ill be 23 weeks). just wondering if i have good chances of it moving!

  • For my last pg, I had a complete previa that was dx'd at 19 1/2 wks.  I was given a 25% chance of it moving, but 2 mos later, it had resolved, and I ended up with  a vaginal birth.  Good luck!
  • I was a complete previa with my 1st pregnancy. mine did not move. I went to e.r. for bleeding at 27 weeks and never left untill i gave birth. my daughter was born at 35 weeks. she was 4lbs. 13oz. i had 2 steroid shots for lung maturity while in the hospital because they knew she would be early. the previa made me contract and i kept going into early labor. ( i had shot to stop that too.) ?I read somewhere that complete bedrest can make it move. I was mad at my doc for not putting on bed rest at home. i was stuck in the hospital for 2 months. TAKE IT EASY. i would talk to your doc about doing some bedrest at home.?
  • I was diagnosed with partial PP at 18 weeks, and they told me that it would probably move. They checked again later, and it had actually gotten worse -- it moved, and became complete PP. They checked every 2 weeks or so by u/s, and it never moved enough to have a vaginal birth. I was terrified to have a c/s, but honestly, I loved my c/s experience and will do it again! I lost a lot of blood, but that's to be expected with PP. I hope yours moves (they told me about 85% of the time it does move) and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy :)
