funky smell in my new home

I'm 24 hours in my new apartment and everything is great. Except there is a funky smell when you walk in. It's coming from the kitchen, which is by the door. I'm trying to air the place out and burn sweet smelling candles.

In the meantime the place rocks. It's huge and comfy. Oh and our new bed was delivered....a king. It.is.awesome.
