"Natural" ways to control estrogen levels?

Hi, Ladies. :)  Hope everyone is having a nice Saturday.

I'm wondering if any of you have had success with controlling high estrogen levels "naturally"-- diet and exercise, maybe herbs?  I have my third surgery to remove uterine growths next week in hopes that it will increase our IVF success odds.  According to some books I've read, excess estrogen is what causes fibroids, polyps, and endo (all of which I have or had).  I'm not overweight, but my diet and exercise habits are not the best.  If possible, I'd like to avoid future surgeries.

Any tips or personal experiences you can share?  Thanks so much in advance.

  • I think I remember reading something about soy products being bad for estrogen levels.  Let me see if I can find the post...

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

  • I can't find the post on here, but google soy and estrogen and some stuff will come up.

  • Thank you so much! Apparently soy is a weak estrogen, but still has a big effect. Hmm, seems like lots of stuff has soy.  Thanks again.
  • Just in case anyone's curious, I've summarized what I learned today about this in my blog. :) Interesting stuff.  I'm still not sure if I'll make any radical changes to my diet, but I've got a springboard now.
