So frustrated

DS will not nap! He fights it so hard and I have not been giving in either. He will nap if I let him sleep on me or if he is attached to the boob. I can't do it anymore. Oh and DH set up his birthday dinner/happy hour with our friends at a bar tonight. He doesn't understand why I won't take DS to a bar. He just doesn't get it. So once again I am home alone with DS while DH is out doing something. Third time this week! Ok I'm done venting now.

    vent away!  My DH wouldn't get that either.  Have yourself some wine after you put him to bed.  Good luck

    "Look at you, you have a baby... in a bar." Sorry, I always think of that quote when baby and bar are used in the same sentence. Pick a night and make plans. Tell your DH he has baby duty. Even if it is just for an hour or two. You sound like you could use some me time. Maybe we can work something out where you, me, and maybe Reynah or any other 'east side' ladies can meet for an appetizer or something.

    A has been fighting her naps BIG TIME lately. I just rock her & let her scream till she realizes how tired she really is & falls asleep or becomes really drowsy. The other thing I have done is left her in her crib to play for awhile & then when she gets crabby to get out that is when I rock her, basically force her to nap. It's not pleasant, but she needs to nap. I am hoping it is a phase & will pass quickly. She is sleeping much better at night for the most part, so that helps.

    I know this probably doesn't help much, just wanted to share that you are not alone.

    As far as DH, sorry he doesn't "get it", maybe someday he will. He probably just doesn't realize how it would look. You should take Avz up on her offer & go out for apps, you will have fun!

We are having Identical Twins!!

    Doesn't DH know what a certian group of ex co-workers would say about babies in a bar or even the bar section of a resturant? We are planning a girls night as soon as my DH is back in town. Put your DH on notice now.

    ok. DS is doing this exact same thing. Never fails he always is pooping at nap time. He knows I won't leave him in his poo. Smart kiddo we have. Already figuring out how to manipulate the system.
