Lower back pain

Does anyone have any good tricks to help deal with lower back pain? Just this week my back as been hurting me so bad that it makes me feel as though I am limping. I have tried to stretch it out, but I can't get the right stretch with my bump in the way.  TIA

Re: Lower back pain

  • I recommend a chiropractor.

  • I am in the same boat.....I have tried heating pad, warm bath, massage, stretching, tylenol, etc. Can't seem to find much relief. I still have half of my pregnancy to go and can't imagine what it will be like in a few more months! Hope you feel better!
  • I don't personally believe in chiropractors...if you do, that might be an option. I have heard other people that go even once a week and get relief.

At the end of the day, I find that I have a hard time getting up from a seated position and my low back aches. I have found that both massage (professional and conning my husband into it) and prenatal yoga have helped me.

  • I did this at my prenatal yoga class and it seemed to somewhat help.  Take a tennis ball and put it under your butt and roll back and forth on it.  Focus on each check individually :)  It really works!
  • Thanks. I would rather not see a chiropracter until last resort so I appreciate the suggestions!
  • I like the warm heating pad with the vibration in it.  That was nice when I threw my lower back out a few weeks ago.
