Baby crack machine.. how I love thee.

So I bought one a few days ago, desperate for something, anything, that might help my baby remember how to sleep again.. (i don't know how much I have posted here about her sleep stuff, but up until 4 months old she ALWAYS slept about 7 hours straight every night and occassionally would go longer, but since then its been getting worse and worse with her waking up 1, 2 sometimes 4 times a night). We had a sleep sheep but it shuts off after like 45 minutes.. I also tried the happiest baby on the block "soothing sounds" CD, but those noises are kind obnoxious and she would actually startle in her sleep when the tracks changed sometimes..So last night we used the baby crack machine and maybe its a fluke.. but she STTN again! 10pm to 7:30 am..then back down for 2 hours til 9:30am

    That's great!  We bought a sound machine last weekend and I think it really helps ds...and me too since he's still in our room.

    Did you leave it on all night?  What sound?

    We have it and when ds was younger (like he's so old...lol) we used to have to rock him to the ocean sound until he fell asleep and then put him down.  Now, we just put him down fully awake with the ocean on and he falls asleep within 5-10 mins but I put it on the timer for 15 mins.  But he has been waking at least once in the middle of the night for a diaper change and to eat, which I know he can go longer b/c he used to.

    Yes, we left it on all night.. (we did the ocean sound too, my friend swears by the heartbeat sound) That was the advantage of it that i liked over the sleep sheep is that it can stay on all night.

    we have the FP projection mobile and it may as well be the same machine. Spinning and lights. What more could a baby want? It works wonderfully....though Harris never really had a problem sleeping.
