Do burp cloths and recieving blankets need to be washed?

I washed alllll of the baby's bedding last night. I even threw in the bed skirt and mattress pad in there. Embarrassed

Now I'm wondering about burp clothes, recieving blankets and even socks.

I plan to wash everything - clothes, bedding, blankets, etc. I won't wear clothes I buy for myself without washing them so the same will go for the baby.

We washed everything when Ella was an newborn. Then found out that is a lot of work haha.

I washed absolutely everything! The stuff is so small that you can do a ton in each load.

i would. makes it all a lot softer and gets off any "yuck" from the plastic wrap.

Yes, everything should be washed but I'm not sure if you want to wash it all now because its going to sit for a while yet - are you putting it ON the crib? Either way, everything should be washed, yes. Think of where that stuff comes from (Asia) and sits in a crate/shipping container with God-knows-what in there with it...not to mention chemicals to dye it, etc.
