TTC After a Loss

embarassing ? about keeping "it" in there

i know there isn't much that is really "tmi" on here but i feel like this is a kind of gross question to ask.  but i know you ladies are really great about answering any question so here i go...

whenever dh and i fwp or fwop i notice that the "good stuff" that i want to go straight up to my patient waiting egg just seems to slip right out of me.  i try to tilt my hips a little bit to keep it in and sometimes that works but as soon as i stand up i feel like it comes right out.  it's so frustrating b/c i feel like this is never going to happen and that it's such a waste of lots of good sperm!!!!  is this normal?  what should i do about this?

  • My doctor recommended to stay "conjoined" with him inside you for five minutes after FWP'ing.  He said that gave the good swimmers no choice but to go for the gold.  Then lie still for about 30 minutes.  If you want to place a small pillow under your butt you can... a thin regular pillow... but put it there before sex so you don't have to maneuver and try to keep the swimmers in.

    I usually prop my legs up on the wall and stay still for 15-30 minutes. 

  • Theres always going to be some "leftover" fluids that slip out. I usually just lay there for 20-30 minutes. Good luck!

  • I too put my legs up on the wall and stay there for at least 15min.
  • Like PinkPearls said, there will always be some leftovers that slip out. Some couples stay conjoined like cara mentioned, others I know use Instead Cups to trap the little suckers in. I just lie there on my back with my knees up (feet on the bed, but knees in the air) for 20 min or so.
