Long... sorry!
Hi Ladies!!! I haven't posted in awhile - I hope everyone is doing well!
Congrats to all the bfps and tons of luck and baby dust to everyone
I know its been asked a million times and I did scroll back a few pages to see if it has been brought up recently but didn't see anything... we finally decided on when we will start the IVF process (September - yay!) and I am just trying to get some real life info on the process. I have googled the h*ll out of it, but would love if you ladies could share your own experiences.
We will be doing IVF w/ ICSI... Lupron w/ BCP protocol... Any info/advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks and SAIFAW!
Re: Lupron w/ BCP
Hi! I am on this protocol. I started BCP's day 3 after bw and then started my lupron about 2 weeks later when my RE's office was ready to start it's next group of us IVF'ers. I was on 20 units of Lupron a night and went down to 5 units when I started stimming with Gonal F and Menapur this past Saturday
Good Luck!!
Do a google search for Long Lupron Protocol - that will help you come up with more information about it.
Edit - never mind, reading comprehension and me don't always go together. It has been a year since I did the LLP so I will let ohers share their experiences since I forget most details.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I did the long Lupron protocol. It went like this: BCP started on CD #3. After 17 days of BCP started Lupron 2 X day. On Lupron 12 days then decreased Lupron and added stims. On stims 10 days, trigger, then ER 36 hrs later. ET 3 or 5 days later. The whole process lasts about 7 weeks.
Good luck!
