Milk alergy moms?

How did you know DC had a milk alergy? My brother and SIL are having a hard time figuring out their DSs fussyness issues. He's 3 weeks old and they've tried a few different formulas...their pedi is not a lot of help.

    Blood in the stool is a pretty common symptom. Good luck.

    Lots of gas, extreme fussiness, blood in stool, green mucousy stool are all good indicators.

    Ok, he said no blood, so hopefully they'll find the right formula.

    Have they looked into him having acid reflux. I eliminated dairy from my diet but it was when we started Zantac the fussiness stopped.

    Both my kids had reflux and it doesn't seem like reflux to me, but heck I'm certainly not a doctor. Actually both of my kids had both milk intolerances and reflux, what they are describing sounds more like the gassy milk issues. We'll see how this formula switch goes and if it doesn't help, I may suggest reflux meds.
