Thursday made 2 weeks after my c-section. Most of my swelling has went down besides my stomach, is there anything anyone suggest to make it go down faster, if there is even a way at all? My belly button is still popped out and nothing fits still...
I found the support of a PP belt very nice. It helped with the pain and some of the swelling. I got mine at the hospital, but you can get one at BRU or motherhood maternity. Its going to take time though, I still have only lost 30 of my pregnancy lbs, but it does eventually go down...
I hear you! My belly is still pretty big. I hope it keeps going down as it has quite a bit. I am just trying to eat healthy and not too much ( I totally overate during my pregnancy and gained 63 total pounds). I lost 30 in the first 3 weeks and am sort of staying at the same weight now but my belly seems to be shrinking a tiny bit everyday.
Yeah, I really hope it goes down bc all of my non-maternity clothes are too tight and make me look like I am a good 4-5 months pg! Grr!! I just want to look cute again.
I feel the same way. I went shopping for some new shorts yesterday and was totally depressed about the size I had to end up with because of my belly. It's shrunk significantly since my c/s and I've lost 35 of the 60 lbs. that I gained, but I still feel like I look a few months pregnant. I'm hoping it will continue to shrink so I can look "normal" again.
Just remember that it can take the full six weeks for your uterus to shrink back to it's normal size. My stomach didn't got flat-ISH until about 5 weeks. If you can't suck it in, its your uterus. That's what I have found anyways. I can suck mine into flat now...now I just have to lose the chub surrounding!
i don't know how you ladies put anything on your stomach at all. if i could've walked around without pants the first couple weeks i would have. my tummy still hasn't shrank all the way down, i think that will just happen on its own.
you have to remember, just like with any other surgery, it is very possible for you to retain water around your incision site. water retention usually happens because of lack of movement (when you get the ok, go for walks and low impact workouts), and stress!
