I just had a coworker ask how we were doing the nursery if we had a girl. I told her probably in pink and white with black accents. She stuck her nose up and said "oh, no you won't. That's no good."
Um...ok. Actually, I thought I would, that's why I said it. She said pink is too traditional, I shouldn't go so traditional. (I live in a 95 year old house that I've been restoring to its original layout, and all of our furniture is antique...I happen to *like* traditional).
Why do people ask our plans if they are just going to disagree? This is like asking what someone is going to name their baby and then cutting down the name. Lady, it ain't your nursery. Go paint your own house.
Re: Ugh. Then why did you ask? (lil' vent)
People suck.
BTW I love your idea. ?I'm sure it helps that my favorite color is pink.
?
My friend is doing white, pink and black. Sounds pretty to me!
~ Miscarry at 8 weeks with D&C in May 2011 (low progesterone).
~ Had a healthy baby girl in June 2012 via C-Section (on prometrium to sustain).
~ Surprise pregnancy at age 40! Baby boy due April 26, 2021 (took prometrium to sustain once pregnancy was confirmed, 3rd C-Section planned).
OMG, what's wrong with a Winnie the Pooh room? There's nothing more wholesome and wonderful than Pooh.
People are weird.
So she's decided that black is traditional for a girl AND you don't get to plan for your own children. Sounds like a peach!
I think it will be beautiful and compliment more traditional architecture wonderfully.
Ugh, people can be so rude. I had the same thing when people asked what I was naming the baby. They turned their nose up like really?? Yes. I like it and I don't plan on changing it b/c you don't.
Sorry, didn't mean to vent on your post
LMAO, I am using the same thing. My brother and friend did their room that way and man I am taking free over spending money on something I like. Who cares?
We're also doing a bug-themed room for our daughter, and everyone's first reaction is "Bugs?! For a GIRL'S room? How... interesting."
Your coworker sucks. Here is OUR future Black, white and PINK nursery!!! (well, a pic we're using for inspiration, anyway)
