Success after IF

Blood this morning.... :(

I'm scared but trying to remain relaxed.  Got to work this morning and had dark brown discharge. Then bright red when I wiped.  A good bit of it.  Nothing flowing, nothing on underwear. So I told coworker I was having intestinal problems and had to go home. I've been laying down drinking water since. I'm so scared and feel absolutely helpless..  I don't understand why this has to happen to us. I can't lose these babies.  This can't be happening again.  I'm trying my best to think positive.  I haven't had any red or anything since.  I'm trying to stay away from the worst, so what else could it be?  Just unexplained bleeding???? I am so worried because I had red once when I wiped before and then days later the huge gush (right before our first ultrasound).  They think that gush was the passing of a fourth sac.  We decided to not call the OB.  They can't do anything anyway.  Just an ultrasound that could confirm the worst.

Please say lots of prayers for us.  I hate this feeling.  I hope I see no more blood. ever.

  • I'm so sorry -- I know how scary bleeding can be.  I will say that I had a similar experience early in my pregnancy (brown spotting, then some red bleeding that stopped on its own), and they never found a reason for it.  Good luck -- sending lots of good thoughts your way.

  • I'm sorry you're dealing with this again. ((HUGS)) I know bleeding is very common and sometimes they can't find a cause. I'm sure a triplet pregnancy is more prone to that. Hang in there!
  • It sounds like you're doing the right thing all around.  I'll be keeping you and your little ones in my thoughts and prayers.  I hope the bleeding was just a fluke and everything's going to be okay.

I'm sure Million$$$Baby had the same thing ... a lot.  Keeping my fingers crossed!!

  • I hate blood it is the scariest thing. I had a lot of unexplained bleeding in the first tri - it wrecked me every time. Glad you are home and on the couch.

  • I seriously bled my whole first trimester- off and on til like 13 or 14 weeks.  I was constantly at the RE's or the OB's getting u/s.  At first they told me it was implantation bleeding, then they just called it "bleeds in the uterus".  Then as I got a little further along- they said the placenta was completely over my cervix.  Finally they found an accessory lobe on my placenta (a large placenta and a small placenta attached by a vein).  So at the end- they attributed all my bleeding to that.  It really could be anything- and when its so early they just don't know.  I did spend a large chunk of my first tri on bedrest.  They were very strict that bleeding = bedrest.  I was not allowed to go to work unless the bleeding stopped and I had 3 days of NO bleeding. You did the right thing by going home and resting!  I really hope everything is ok.  LOTS of people bleed in the first trimester.  I probably would still call your Dr. though and let them know whats going on.  GL!

  • Oh gosh.  You definitely don't deserve this.  Well no one does but you've been through so much already.  You should have an easy pregnancy.  You are in my prayers.  Please keep us posted as you feel you are able to.

  • I am praying that everything is fine. I also had some bleeding early on when I was pg. I had spotting and some gushes of blood as well. It would go from red to brown spotting. There were a few times I thought the bleeding had stopped and it would start again. Everytime they checked me everything was  fine.

  • I am sorry - i hope it turns out to be nothing!
  • Are you taking progesterone suppositories?  I have had some similar types of incidents, wipe and find some reddish/brown dischare followed by red spotting then nothing.  My drs office said totally normal in early pg as wel as if you are on progesterone supp. due to the irritation of putting it in.  Good luck!  I hope you have no more bleeding and the rest of your pg is H&H
