I m/c'd and had a D&C last week and the doc said we can start as soon as I am ready and said if we waited for the first AF in order to calculate the EDD but not necessary.
Anyone not wait the recommended time to start? and successful?

I had some conflicting advice from the different OBs in my office - one wanted me to wait 3 full AFs then try, and the other two were fine with waiting for just one AF. But all have recommended waiting for at least one AF. One said it wouldn't be the end of the world if I got pg right away, but recommended against it if we could help it.
Do what works for you - listen to your body and your doctor. There are women who have had successful pg right away, and some who have not.
My OB recommended waiting 3 months but then right after that he said waiting 2 months would be ok. He was also a horrible OB (I switched after the m/c).
We waited until after the first AF just so I would have less worry. We ended up with a BFP the second cycle after the m/c.It wasn't successful but not b/c of not waiting.
GL to you!

Terribly sorry for your loss. I was told to wait for two cycles after my first loss at 12 weeks. I did not listen to the advice of my doctor and got pregnant right away and miscarried at 6 weeks. To this day, I wish we had waited. But who knows why I miscarried that second time. I say go with what your doctor says - but know that the body does seem to need time to recover. I noticed that this time around, waiting three cycles, my first cycle did seem "off" - lasted longer, etc. The second two were more normal and I feel better now that we've waited and I have had these normal AFs.
so sorry to hear about your loss. we, like you, got the go ahead right away, with the suggestion of waiting for AF. we waitied for AF, as I personally needed the time to get mentally and physically back into it all. unfortunately no success on the first go around ... but here's hoping for try #2!
I'd wait at least a month. If you don't wait you could go nuts trying to figure out when you're o'ing(if you o), if you're pg, if you do get pg it'll be really confusing to know how far along you are or when to test. I view it as giving my poor body a break for a month and then try again.
I am so sorry for your loss. It is so tough. TTCing gave me something else to focus on, so we didn't wait at all. Personally it helped me emotionally, as well as being able to conceive my son. We conceived my DS 12 weeks after the D&C (1st full cycle). This time I am still waiting for the results of this cycle, but it will be about 12 weeks since my last m/c and the first full cycle again. Fingers are crossed!
We were supposed to TTA for 3 cycles, but when we came back after first AF with the BFP the Dr wasn't concerned at all. She told me the 3 months was mostly for my own mental state more than my physical one. I had a D&C April 16 and got the BFP Jun 23.

I am sorry for your loss. If it was a CP, I would say go ahead and try again right away if you are ready. If it was beyond the CP phase, you may need some additional time.
I would have liked to ttc right away after my two losses, but my body did not cooperate. Depending on how far along you were when you m/c, you may not ovulate this cycle; you may not get AF for a long time. With my second loss, I did not ovulate and got AF only after provera - 77 days later!
The first cycle after m/c is usually wacky - so I would recommend just going with it and gearing up to try during your next cycle.

Our family is complete!
when i had a d/c i waited until the first af. I was scared of infection and crap.
with my natural m/c, i didn't avoid but didn't try per say.
