Hello -
I am looking for some input from moms who have already tried out their bassinets. I can't decide on one and am spending way too much time scanning the internet for products and product reviews.
It seems to me that all bassinets that are less than $140 (about as much as I want to spend) are pretty badly reviewed by parents (flimsy, uncomfortable, poorly made, etc.)
I did get a Graco playyard but don't want to use it as a bassinet because I want something a little cozier and I don't like how the mattress doesn't lie flat (because of the spaces between the segments that allow you to fold it up). Also, when I put a 10 pound weight on it, it sags down in the middle. Not good enough support for the LO in my opinion.
So - help! What is your recommendation for a quality bassinet that your LO sleeps well in, is (hopefully) under $150, and that comes with a quality, firm mattress pad and fitted sheet? A mobile would be great too, but I could buy that separately.
Thanks!
Re: What's your recommendation for a bassinet?
We borrowed this Nature's Purest bassinet from a friend & it worked great for us.

We actually used an old family one. It was very basic and not cushy, but DD didn't mind. I don't really get how people can say a bassinet is uncomfortable - did they try it out themselves???
Anyway, we live in small house and ended up moving DD to her crib after a couple weeks. So, I'm glad we didn't spend a big chunk on the bassinet.
We used the PNP and put the snuggle nest in it sideways with the hood over. It was plenty cozy.
Both kids were outgrown of the bassinet in 6 weeks and C was tiny.
we love our arm's reach mini cosleeper. It's the perfect size & the baby can be in it up until he/she starts sitting. After that, I use it for storing clothes, shoes, & toys(it fits perfect in a standard closet).
It comes in a few different colors & has accessories to add. With our last dd we also attached it to our bed. One side can come down so its easy to get to the baby...or even keep a hand on the baby to smoothe.

Edit: I also wanted to add that it has two wheels to so its easy to move. Sometimes I would wheel it out into the living room if she was getting up a lot so DH could sleep.
We also have the Arms Reach Co-Sleeper. We love it!
