It really depends on the area, but ours was between $6000 and $8000. We had 130 guests.

We spent about $18,000 and that did not include my dress ($1500), the rehearsal dinner($1200), the rings ($10,000) or the honeymoon ($6,000).

$2k for wedding and reception/dinner for 100ppl. The downpayment on our house was more important, and everything actually turned out very nice thanks to some very crafty relatives. Sure it would have been nice to have both, but I would take my house over a fancier wedding any day.

We holed up in our new house for one week as a honeymoon. We live at the beach, so there's not really any place better to go.

edited to add: we had 75 people, but that price does not include the rings. it includes all other wedding expenses including dress (which I later sold and recouped $2K from it).

Ok so take into consideration the cost of leaving in Louisiana, very low. Because it may not sound like alot, but we had a awesome wedding and budget was $15,000.00, and we actually had about $1,000.00 left over. We had a large wedding, I know it sounds crazy but we had 11 bridesmaids, 11 groomsmen, 2 flower girls, 1 ring brearer, & 6 ushers. And we had 396 people attend.

Location has a lot to do with it, remember that! We got married in IL, not Chicago/burbs. Had a sit down dinner w/steak, open bar. Total for everything (dress, rings, rehearsal dinner, reception, flowers) minus honeymoon (gift from my brother) was 12,000.

I am AMAZED at how much some of you spent!! We spent abour $1500 for everything (100 guests) and it was really nice. We cared a lot more about our honeymoon and spent about $4000 on it. We went to Italy.
