My friend wants to have a bs for me after my baby is born since i am on bedrest. I have never heard of this...any input? She had mentioned maybe a diaper shower???
My neighbor is hosting a small neighborhood shower for me after the baby is born. It will be less of a shower and more of a meet the baby party. She wanted to do it before LO arrives but its tough to schedule things in the summer with vacations etc.
If it is your "main" shower and for your first baby, I'd recommend if at all possible seeing if you can have a shower before LO arrives, just so you can ensure you receive enough basic necessities. If the shower is after the baby arrives, I'd expect you'd get alot of clothes, toys, blankets, etc.
My mom and sister are actually REFUSING to come to my baby shower before she's born (a friend is throwing it). They think it is bad luck. But, they are throwing a Meet the Baby baby shower after she's born.
The ladies I work with are having a meet the baby shower for me after he is born because of two things - 1. they really want to see the baby and 2. I'm GD, so they won't have to worry about the menu as much.
