people with a lot of money find that annoying. no one judged her lifestyle, but she def tries to mention it as much as she can. and THAT is what makes people think she is annoying. if you think people are talking about "money" in general - you should rethink the audience.
I would like to point out that the person who pointed fingers first did not say they were annoyed with said person's "status", they were annoyed with the so called exploitation of it. Just clarifying, there is a difference.

I think it's possible to be annoyed by someone "flaunting" money or status, and not to be jealous. In our society, it's considered rude. You can be bothered by the rudeness, and not the fact that she has those things.
Honestly though, who really cares? I think it's great if she has those things. We're all better off than someone, and we're all worse off than someone. To be bothered by it seems pointless to me.

and she's just talking about her daily life, the same way any of us do. her life is just VERY different from most of ours.

i'm going to stay out of this conversation though b/c i am in a overly nice mood today, and while i have some verrrry strong opinions on this i think i'll keep them to myself. but again - i promise you it's not jealousy.
I saw her post about law school & it seems to me that she & her hubby worked pretty damn hard to get where they got. Not saying that others didn't but IMO it seems like she earned some bragging rights. I have never seen anything where it seems like she throws $ around.

bw, you know very well that there is a difference sometimes. 99% of the time i would agree with what you are saying, but sometimes its for show and its obvious. but then realize what jessibell said, and i agree, that sometimes i won't post stuff here bc i don't want to seem like im bragging. even if it has to do with the question and/or my daily life. i guess its just how you want to be seen since someone will always think negatively of something
To me it seems like the importance is being placed on status and money, which many people on here don't understand. For example... I have plenty of money but I place very little importance on it because it doesn't define me and honestly doesn't have much to do with my lifestyle. (And by "plenty" I don't mean "rich". We just have enough and then some)

I think if someone posts something once and it bugs you, it's jealousy. However, if they repeatedly do it in MANY different ways, it's OK to just be annoyed.
