NOT for the baby.... for me.
DH mentioned this and I thought he was crazy, but we are going to put a small TV in the armoir for when I am nursing in there. This way if it's in the middle of the night he can still sleep in our room and I can be entertained and comfy while nursing in her room.

With dd, I tried to nurse with the least amount of light/sound as possible so she would stay in a sleepy state, but I think that this baby will just go with the flow, since I'm used to having kids now.

Really? I could understand if I said "yeah, if the kid cries we are just going to turn the tv on" lol. But I would imagine a lot of people nurse watching TV, especially in the beginning when you're doing it all the time. Most of my books have said to prop yourself in front of the TV and catch up on movies while you nurse.
We are definitely not putting one in ours.
I think it's a great idea. Trust me...it ges boring sitting in a quiet room nursing all the time. I will say that no matter how bored you are...skip the tv at night. The stimulation will interupt your LO's sleep (even if it's only on for a lil while). If you want them to sleep really well at night then go in and nurse with as little light and noise as possible (not counting a noise machine if you are going to use one) and put baby right back to bed.
Otherwise I think it's a great idea
Yeah, that's a good point about the middle of the night, but it will definitely be helpful especially when we have company over. I know that i won't mind nursing in front of my parents, but definitely not anyone on DH's side of the family. That would just be so weird to me.

This is what I was thinking. From day one, I'd like to set the example and try to differeniate as much as possible between day and night. If I go in to feed him or change him at night, I don't plan on turning lights on or talking- just doing what needs to be done and getting him back to sleep!

we only have a tv in the living room- I'm not into tvs in bedrooms (anyway, my house is tiny and the living romm is only 10 steps away from every other room). My sister did this, though- and it was nice to have when feeding her DS- she took it out and put it in her room once he wasnt breastfeeding anymore.
