How did you out yourself on fb?

I wasn't even planning on outing myself - I just said that I was really happy and felt extremely blessed... people just started to assume and then someone who really did know commented on it.?

I'm waiting til after our u/s next week to make sure things are OK and to find out how many are cooking...but if I do make an announcement on FB, I was thinking of saying something like after a long_ass time, thousands of dollars, surgery, and injections, I am finally freaking pregnant.

When that time comes for us to out ourselves, I'm just going to put that we're adding to our (already huge) zoo and then put the due date. The only bad thing I see about outing on facebook is that I have my boss as a friend, so we have to be sure we officially announce it to her first. It's so very exciting!

I just put "mark your calendars for Feb 21, 2010!" never actually said anything about being pregnant, people in my family just assumed!

After our NT on Tuesday, probably will say something like "...is happy to announce that Alexandra's will be a big sister in January!"

If it were my first, I'd probably say "...is happy to announce that Baby Meyer is due in January!"

Not real creative, but it gets the message out there. :-)

My sister-in-law suggested I write "is tickled pink......or blue....." It was great. People were like um, does this mean what it sounds like? and if not, do you realize what it sounds like and what people will think? lol it was fun, for about 5 min, until my SIL and mom got so excited about being able to tell people and just put it point blank on their facebooks. then everyone knew LOL

DH and I are going to post next week after our 12 week ultrasound. I can't wait! I haven't decided what I am going to write. I'm thinking either "L's going to be a big brother in 28 weeks" or "DH and I thought it would be fun to have 2 kids under the age of 2. So, we're going to, in 28 weeks."

I'm not going to announce anything on FB until 12wks, but someone I know recently announced and used the status message: "12 weeks down, 28 to go..." and just waited for people to figure it out. I thought that was really cute, but I don't think I can steal her same phrase!

When I hit the second tri, I'll post "Kim now understands why I was always so horrible at math! In my world, 1+1 really does equal 3!". I'm also going to change my profile pic to an ultrasound pic so that the confused people will be able to figure it out a bit easier, haha.

We're going to wait until the 2nd tri. Then DH is going to post as his profile pic the photo he took of the "pregnant" Clear Blue Easy digital test I gave him. (Not so gross as it sounds, I put in a plastic baggy, wrapped in box and gave it to him as a "Happy Friday" present.) He took a picture of it and later said he was going to post it as his profile pic when it was ok to start telling people.
