Hysteroscopy?

My doctor just scheduled this for me to check my lining for fibroids/polyps and anything else abnormal. For those that have had one, what should I expect?  I googled it and it sounds pretty simple but I'm curious what others experienced and why they did this ftest or you?

    You might get more response on the TTTC board. I was scheduled to have one along with a laparoscopy, but it's since turned into actual surgery, so I can't be of any help.

    The research I did on the procedure also made it sound pretty straightforward. GL!

    I had a hysteroscopy in May 2008 because of a polyp on my cervix. I ended up have a D&C because they found 5 more polyps in my uterus. But I haven't had any since then! Mine wasn't that bad because I was completely knocked out. I was a little sore and I bled (like spotted clots) for about 2 1/2 wks. I couldn't take a bath or sit down in any kind of water for 2 weeks and we had to use a condom for 6.

    I just had one last week along with a lap and D&C. I can't be of much help though since I was out for it. However, I do believe it to be a pretty simple procedure. GL!

    i had one last month.  I had cramps for the day afterwards but other than that nothing big.  Take some advil before you go.

    I had one several years ago and was totally knocked out and they did a D&C because I had polyps in my uterus.  Had cramping and some spotting for the next couple of days but that was it.
