2nd Trimester

How will you lose the baby weight?

I have never been big on working out, but I'm going to really have to make an effort to do something after the LO comes! I used to go to the gym after work, but I won't do that anymore because I work late-ish (until 6:30 usually). So, I'm hoping that even in the winter, I can go out for long walks with the dog to at least get moving.

What about you?

  • I will NOT be going on birth control. ?:) ? When I was pregnant with Layla, I was back in regular jeans at TWO weeks. ?Three weeks later on the stupid nuvaring I had to buy new pants b/c I had gained all the pregnancy weight back :( ?So sad.?
  • Walking and maybe Yoga Videos
  • BF, smart diet (for the most part), and walking whenever possible.  I think with a little effort and time it will come off.

    What is 30 Day shred???

  • Breastfeeding!!! Seriously all my friends are skinnier now than before the baby because of this.

Also I work out now everyday, so I will continute too, I will just do more.

    what's that?

  • PT.

Im in the army so I dont really have a choice.
And my motivation is being a "hot mom" so thats what I'll be thinking of when I'm at the gym!

If you knew better, you'd do better.
  • Hopefully with a Wii Fit!  Otherwise, just taking long walks with the dog several times a day
  • Elipical, kick boxing, step class, weights, cycling, what ever it takes.  The good thing about the Y is they will baby sit our LO for free!
  • I'm hoping to see my nutritionist and weight loss doc. Once I'm done breastfeeding , I'll probably get on the weight loss meds I was on before.   I lost tons of weight before getting pregnant.  It helped out alot.  However, as soon as I started the fertility/ progesterone supplements, I gained it all back
  • Running/cardio and plenty of weights...
  • Praying? Hahaha! I think I will stick with walking- we have a kick ass treadmill (that I don't use) and yoga.

  • working out like crazy and eating right.
  • With DS I joined a bootcamp class at the YMCA about 4 months pp. I lost 10 pounds before I got pregnant again about a month later. I absolutely loved the class - usually I hate working out. I plan on doing that again.

Hopefully breastfeeding will also help, but I'm not going to count on that.

edit: Also with DS I lost about half the weight without even trying....so I'm hoping that happens again, haha :)

  • same as last time.. BF, eat healthy, and stay active. I don't work-out like go to the gym and bust my a$$, but I'm busy chasing a toddler around and I like to go for walks when I can. It depends on the person and the body type of course, but if you gain a healthy amount of weight and eat well and take care of yourself, the weight mostly tends to come off. Excess lbs or the last 5-10 might be harder, but in my case, I was very lucky that it all came off very easily w/out trying and I even lost an extra 10 lbs from pp which put me just below a healthy BMI (no, I'm not proud of that, I was worried about it. I just wanted to point out that for some people it really does come right off and BF really can help a ton).

  • Breastfeeding. Worked like a charm.  With no exercise routine, I was skinnier after three months of breastfeeding than I was before I got pregnant.  I'm hoping to have similar results with DC#2.   I read somewhere that exclusively bf-ing burns about 500-700 calories a day!

  • Counting/Tracking Calories using Sparkspeople

Exercising/Working out at least 3 times a week/Probably start couch to 5k again

..I did these in the past and managed to lose 30 or more pounds. I am hoping to have the same result.

    and

Hopefully Breastfeeding (I know this doesn't have any guarantees)

  • I lost 20 pounds & kept it off before becoming pg, so I plan to do exactly what I did before - eat healthy! And eat like a rabbit. Veggies are my friend, carbs (other than super healthy whole grains) are my enemy!

Also, I want to get some of those biggest loser workout dvd's so I can do that & put the baby in the swing. And I plan to run a marathon in May, so I'll be training for that soon after I give birth.

All that combined with breast feeding, I'm praying it comes off & I get back to my pre-pg size! Fingers crossed!!!

  • Working out and eating right....not much different than before I was pg.
  • Losing Pregnancy weight- I thought this was a myth.

Nah, i plan on exercising like crazy, BFing, and Eating right

  • Create a food plan.. not eat junk.. go back to the gym.

My hubby plans on a daily 30 - 60 minute walk outside with the baby while i do what ever i want...  we'll see if that happens.

  • 10 minute trainers from the same guy that does p90x. Was doing them before I got pregnant and I felt great and lost weight fast! Plus they're very short so I actually will have the time! But boy are they intense!! Plus I eat pretty healthy!
  • Hitting the gym, 30 day shred, Wii active, breast feeding. ?

    Coffee

I honestly haven't given it to much thought.  I'm hoping that walks with baby and making a million trips up the stairs will help.

  • Giving birth and breast feeding.... that will be all, I hope!  I have gained only 6 lbs in 24 weeks so I am on track to stay below 25 hopefully.

    And breastfeeding. Smile

A 20 minute bust your balls workout. (three phases 10 days each phase)

Now granted I know I won't be doing this workout immediately after baby is born, but plan on using it shortly after because it is only 20 minutes.

  • Ive always worked out pretty regularly, so I will step my workouts up after birth, and with that, breastfeeding, and my natural metabolism I am honestly not too worried about it.  I am naturally slim, and I know how to take care of myself, but I am also not deluded into thinking I will look like I dd pre-preg two weeks after delivery! Im just glad I will have the winter to work on it!

  • 1. I intend to NOT gain as much weight with this PG as last time (60 pounds!)

    2. I did WW online and 5 times a week 400 calorie burn workouts to lose the last 30 pounds of the 60 last time - so I'll probably have to do that again - I did loose the first 30 just by giing birth and breast feeding - so I'm hoping to keep the gain to 30 this time and MAYBE not have to be so extreme this time - though I will keep up the working out - its a great way to just have some you time with a baby.

  • If all goes well - training for the 2010 Boston Marathon!
  • With both my other kids, I did WeightWatchers online and Breastfed.  That was it, and lost all the baby weight (60 pounds and 40 pounds, respectively) each time within 6 months.
  • Breastfeeding and walking daily for sure. I have some workout DVD's I may use again. Actually, I'm pretty athletic, and I love playing soccer and ultimate frizbee and stuff like that. I know I won't be able to pick that back up right away, especially during the winter, but maybe by spring I'll be able to get that going again.
  • After having my 1st baby, I breastfed and ate right.  I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight almost right away.  I didn't exercise at all - I didn't have any interest in that with a newborn.

The supermodel diet is so much more fun.

    Champagne

    Cigarettes

    Cocaine

    Painkillers

Seriously though. Last time was really hard for me. I was a whole different person then. It took 18m to take the weight off + a few pounds to get to how I wanted to.

This time I will walk until I hit my six week pp mark and get the go ahead to start working out. Then my trainer will kick my ass in three to four day a week workouts plus I'll run for about thirty minutes after or before each workout.

I eat healthy as it is. I will continue this but maybe be a little more strict. I don't follow any low carb diets or anything like that. I stick with whole grains, veggies, fruits, and lean meats and seafood as it is. I will cut back on the deserts I've been indulging in more of lately. Like the Snickers I had to have yesterday. I haven't had a Snickers in years.

  • Breastfeeding, cleaning at home, WEIGHT WATCHERS (I've lost 25 pounds on it before).
  • chasing after DD and caring for a newborn.  BF, walking (not sure how much I will get to do in the winter!) and DH is talking about a Wii!?
  • After DS I hung onto the weight for several months (BFing and all, I couldn't lose the last 10 or so pounds).  I had him 9/15 and started WW 1/2 and I lost the weight very quickly w/o even exercising.  I plan to do the same this time.
