Coming off the pill question..

Hi everyone! I am knew to this site and had a question. I stopped my birth control pill on June 26th and had my normal period but now have been spotting a little bit this week (July 7 through today). I am taking Prenatal Plus which I started the same day I got spotting so I was wondering if anyone else has experianced this due to prenatal vitimans or and if it is a normal thing to spot a little bit when you first go off the pill? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!  Big Smile

    It is probably from coming off the pill. ?I have never heard of PNVs causing spotting.

    It is due to the pill.  Your cycles could be wonky for several months depending on how long you were on them.

    your first "period" off the pill is really still breakthrough bleeding. Cycles can be wacky off bcp so be patient.

    Personally, I have not had any spotting with pnv. GL!

    I feel like I should keep a copy of a response for these questions somewhere. It would make it a lot easier.

    The spotting is probably from coming off the pill. Your hormones may be messed up for a few months.

    Unless your PNV's have some funky hormones in them, they will never in a million years cause you to spot.

    I agree with PP.  The spotting is from coming off the BCP, not from the PNV.  Your body should start regulating itself again eventually.

    It is all caused from the coming off the pill. I was on it for 13 years and I spotted my entire first cycle. That sucked. Not to mention the fact that about 1/2 way through all of my insides hurt and ached. Give yourself a few months to regulate and be sure to chart. It helps you to know what is going on. Good Luck!

    Okay, I feel much better now! I figured it was due to coming off the pill.

    Babybear70.. I have been on birth control for 13 years too and my insides are hurting and aching.... guess it'll all take time to normalize. I'm glad to know this IS normal. :)  Thanks everyone!
