I am really just looking for something simple but not too simple. I seem to really be drawn to the polka dots. We are having an Elmo themed party, but I do not really want a invite with Elmo. I have been looking on Etsy, but there are so many to choose from, that it is overwhelming. If you have a particular seller you had success with, please let me know.
Also, what is a reasonable budget for invites? I need about 40 invites. Do you think I could reasonably buy them for $50?
Thanks so much for your help.

Re: 1st Birthday Invitations: Can I see yours? Where did you get it?
We're doing a prince theme, so I don't know if it will be much help. I designed them in photoshop and will be getting them printed at Sams Club in 5x7 size.
ETA: The big picture will be of him in crown and One onsie
I don't have a copy of mine but Skoorbnibor made mine... If you page her on Success after IF or 6-12 she can make up some rough drafts for you and you pick which one you like! I loved mine... we did a monkey theme.

I just decided to play around with the theme you said & came up with this, If your interested let me know, you can give suggestions for changes. I could definitely do 40 for under $50.Of course the pics would be of your kid.
I made mine in powerpoint and then just printed on nice cardstock. I downloaded free clipart from microsoft.com. They have tons of free clipart. I got the font from www.dafont.com for free. It's really quite easy to make them.
However, if you don't want to do it yourself, I saw a lot of great inexpensive invitations on ebay and etsy. You can definitely keep it under $50 for 40 invitations on those sites. Just put in 1st birthday invitations.

We did do an Elmo though, got these on Ebay, very cheap. Since it was such a small number of people, I didn't even print them, just uploaded it to an evite. Good luck!
