Is your nursery set up already?

I'm 29 weeks and people keep asking me if the baby's room is ready!! Aack! No I haven't finished emptying out the room, haven't painted, the crib is still at my mom's, and...and...and....lol! I feel accomplished because the room is ALMOST cleared out and I have the paint & supplies in my basement. Just curious when people set up or are setting up their baby's room.

Our nursery is all ready to go. I've been obsessed with getting it done. The only thing that is left to do is order a vinyl decal to go above the crib. We began clearing out the room, painting, etc. around 20 weeks once we knew the gender.

Deep breaths! No I am not done yet but we're not doing a huge elaborate nursery. Don't worry you have plenty of time. However, I did read somewhere earlier in my pregnancy that we should have been doing this during the first trimester! Ha what a crock! I

Mine is mostly done, but I am not working. ?I will finish it up after the second shower, which is next weekend.

It won't take very long, if you at least have the furniture ordered and a mental picture of what you want. ?We did most of it in one weekend and I have been adding handmade items here and there.?

We haven't done anything yet! We still need to clean out the room, pick out paint, tear up the carpet, get the crib and dresser....ahhhh! So much to do but I figure my shower is Aug 22 and that is my deadline. As long as I get it done by then we should be fine. I will be 35 weeks then.

I'm more behind than you are!! We have the walls painted but not the trim. My MIL bought the crib today, but it's still at her house (1.5 hrs away) Ditto on my cradle (from when I was a baby) that is at my mom's house. The bedding hasn't been made because my mom is making it and we haven't set up the crib yet to know how long the skirt needs to be. I haven't even found material yet for curtains that I like.

If the baby comes today (which it could, I'm at risk for PTL) we have a glider and a car seat that hasn't yet been installed.

We have a lot done in our nursery. We still have to get the mattress for the crib, get the bedding & finish finding things for the walls, but other than that, we're not doing too bad. Oh, I need to get a closet organizer too.

You have plenty of time. I just finished the nursery yesterday and I am nearly 36 weeks. Then again, it did not take me long because we live in an apartment so we didn't paint or anything. It was pretty much just setting up the crib and organizing everything.

I am in the same boat as you. We are waiting for my brother to come and take the bed... we are giving it to him to use up at school. Then we will paint and put the furniture together. But we live in MD and my brother is in PA so we are waiting for them to take the trip down here! I am starting to get anxious because i want to help my DH do the stuff in the nursery but the longer we wait the less i am going to be able to do.

The only thing missing is the new closet door (DH is working on hanging it as we speak) and the bookcase that he built. Other than that, we are ready!

No worries. I have everything setup but I'm still waiting to receive the final wall art to hang. I need to clean it up since I put a bunch of furniture together in the room. I also need to get things a little more organized. We didn't have to paint the room though so it didn't take long.

Take a breath and relax...it'll all come together!

not at all! we moved two weeks ago, and it is painted, but right now is storing lots of extra boxes that need to be unpacked (and you'll note i'm on the bump right now instead of unpacking). also, our furniture is backordered and we aren't getting that until i'm ~35-36 weeks (i ordered it at 22 weeks!), so i'm just forcing myself not to freak out. i have my shower in two weeks, so i'm hoping to have it cleared out by then!

All I have done is the crib. We need to pick up our dresser and rocker/glider from the furniture store sometime soon (it's there but we need an SUV from a friend to get it). I don't even know what I'm buying to put on the walls yet, but we have been planning a monkey theme.

I bought some fabric from Hobby Lobby the other day to potentially make a bed skirt, but I'm not even sure if that's what I'm going to do with the fabric or if I'm going to buy the $110 bedding set. You're not alone!

There are just a few little things that we need to finish up, but we will most likley wait until baby is here. We have spent so much time in there working that we are both tired of it! lol It has been like this for about 4 weeks or so!

We added a 2nd level to our house, which is just coming together now. DH finished installing the carpet in the nursery today, and we will be putting together the crib and glider at the beginning of next week. The builder will be here on Monday to install the wall/window casings and the electricians will also be here on Tuesday to do the electricity upstairs.

Things are finally coming together, and it's been really difficult to be patient, but ya' do whatcha' gotta do.

Not by a long shot. Dh has one more coat of paint to slap on the walls, then we have to put the bedding on the crib, along w/ the valances also dh wants to install laminate flooring etc

DH is finishing painting as we speak. Hopefully I'll be able to move this chair out of my living room soon. We don't have a crib yet, but the other furniture is painted. DH wants to do more stencils on the doors.

I am still in the process of cleaning out the room. We already painted the walls, but I need to get everything out...

I figured if I have it cleaned out by July 19th I will be happy. That's the 10 week mark for ordering our furniture. Although we still have no idea when the furniture will arive. I want the room to be ready when it comes After that I will get anal organizing things

Ours has been doen since after my last shower, around 29 weeks. We still need to put together the diaper genie & other little things but for the most part its done. i am so glad we did it early now with me being sick & in the hospital.

No, we did buy a new crib and a dresser but they are sitting in their boxes in the garage. We also haven't bought any bedding yet. In fact, the only other things we have for her are some new clothes and a few blankets!

well we JUST started- dh just finished painting yesterday- we have the floor guys coming tomorrow to refinish our wood floors- that will take up the rest of this week - so next week, hopefully we will be able to get the furniture put together (its currently in their boxes, piled in our living room)...

then i just need to put the crap thats sitting in my living room (baby supplies, clothes, etc) in the room- i have the blinds picked out and dh will need to hang them with the valances and i want to get a closet organizer still..

so my goal is to be done by 38 weeks! to me, it's cutting it close- i know plenty of ppl think its plenty of time but when you can be induced any day, its a lil nerving- plus i am such a planner and organizer and i enjoy this- and i feel like it was taken away from me- i would want to play in there longer!

Mines not done and I am almost 37 weeks! I have everything the baby needs and most of it is set up, but we still have some finish work on the moulding around the door and need to hang blinds etc. Baby won't know the difference if his blinds aren't hung on day 1, so I'm not stressin about it!!

haven't even remotely started. Crib is at moms and we dont have any furniture yet, aside from the changing table which is currently collecting dust in the attic.

Mine was not completely finished until last night. Literally. Well I still have 2 more pictures to hang up. I would not worry. People were suprised because I am such a planner and organizer but I struggled getting the nursery finished because we completely remodeled the room. You will get it done.
