TMI-Bloody Show or Post-Cervical Check Bleeding

I had my 40 week check yesterday and my MW checked my cervix (no stripping membranes or anything). This morning I woke up to some brownish discharge. I've had bits of mucus plug come out the past several days. Not a lot though.

Do you think this is first signs of bloody show? Or just a result of my cervical check from yesterday?

Curious to see the responses... also as a follow up, how long is it normal to spot after a check? I had a check yesterday morning (at around 4am) and was spotting yesterday, stopped overnight, and just started again...

I spotted for 3 days after my very first internal at 37 weeks, but haven't spotted after an internal since. And it was 'old' blood (i.e., brown) when I did spot. Not everyone has a bloody show. Bloody shopw is just when the mucus plug comes out with new blood. And some women loose their mucus plug without the bleeding.

I had pretty good brown spotting from Thursday through Sunday after my internal on Thursday. When it had continued until Saturday I got my hopes up. Then nada yesterday, so I'm assuming it was all related to the internal.
