15 month appt. today - when to give Tylenol?

I always forget that I can give DD Tylenol or Mortrin before her shots and don't have to wait to see if/when she gets miserable.  But how long before her appt. do I give it?

    you need to wait until you are already at the office b/c they need to make sure she doesn't have a fever.  We always give it while waiting in the room for the doctor to come in after they've already checked his temp.

    Shoot - I didn't think there were shots at the 15 month appt!  We have one today and I wasn't expecting shots.  I just thought she'd have another finger poke to get her iron re-checked.  Great, something else to look forward to!

    my son didn't even have a 15 month check up b/c there weren't any shots so the office doesn't do one.

    That's what I was thinking on our end.  When I called to schedule the appt, they wondered if it was needed.  I thought the Dr. mentioned an iron re-check so they scheduled it for us.  Now I'm crossing my fingers that they won't do any shots!

    If I remember correctly, and if I'm looking at the paper work from her last visit correctly, she got all but the DTP/DTaP/DT/Td/Tdap at her 12 month... or I guess I could say Dtap or Tdap or something!

    Pedi has always tell us to go ahead and give DD Tylenol 30 min before the appointment.

    We are 5mins away from the pedi's office and I just do it right before we leave.

    I didn't end up giving her any.  I've never given her any before an appt., but after if she needed it.  Today she's been all good.
