ball pit idea

I am already dreading the end of summer when play needs to move indoors again. In fact, we're cleaning out our junk room to make a play room for Adam. One thing I saw on a Desprate Housewives rerun is to use the play yard that most of us have as a ball pit! I am using two panels of ours to block off a corner of the living room for toy storage, but the other four panels would make a fun square ball pit. Of course, his baby pool would also work. Just ball the extra balls, no need to buy the pit itself!

Just sharing ideas to save some money!

    Cool idea! I wish we had a playroom. I made DD a ball pit with an inflatable swimming pool and bought the balls at Wal Mart. $10 for 100 balls. Sounds like a lot, but I'd get 2 bags to make it fuller.

    Ditto this.  I am planning to use DS' inflatable pool as a ball pit this winter.  Thanks for the tip on where to buy cheap balls!

    We use a baby pool as a ball pit for DS. He loves it!

    If you have a pack n play, that can also double as a great ball pit.

    We used DS's PNP and filled it with balls. It was great because he couldn't get out so I could put him in there for a few minutes to get a snack or go to the bathroom. He loved it. Now, we have to use it again for baby so we took the balls out.
