We painted the bottom 1/2 of the nursery a green (Frolic, sherwin williams) and the top a putty color (Urban putty, sherwin williams). Omg, the green is overwhelming, it is very bright. The thing is I got 2 other samples and on the wall they were too dark for the actual bedding.
I'm not sure what to do. We are thinking about painting the whole room with the urban putty, then doing a black stripe (chair rail height), and maybe doing the green (a shade darker than what we already have) on either side of the stripe. Any suggestions from you talented ladies? I'm at a loss, and hate the fact that I have to repaint. Tia
Here's the bedding:

Here is what we've done so far:
A close up (the green almost looks highlighter-ish in person, yuck!, but it matches the bedding. Ugh.)
Re: How close did you match your paint to the bedding?
I think it will look fine. I don't think you have to repaint it!
We didn't match paint to the bedding, we chose the paint and then I'm making my own bedding.
I love your bedding but I also agree with pp, I wouldn't repaint. Maybe doing some black striping (or your black chair rail idea) would mute the color to your eyes? Considering that so much of that bottom part of the wall will be obscured by the crib, maybe a chair, changing table, stuff....I honestly would put the room together a bit first before deciding to paint again.
We did try to match the orange in our mural to our bedding but it was difficult and to be honest we didn't get it quite right. But I love it anyway - especially once everything was in the room it all went together great. GL!
This is our crib, we're still looking at dresser/changing tables. I was going to put a cream colored glider in the room and possibly another table/night stand.
Love that crib - it really sounds like it will look wonderful once you get the furniture in. Sometimes bright colors are just hard to see in an otherwise empty room but you picked gorgeous bedding and it will look great!
I think once you put the stripe in, it will blend together better! I love the bedding!
Once you add furniture and pictures and accents then it might change your opinion on it. Right now it might just be a bit shocking.?
Push comes to shove - if you hate it in 6 monthes, take baby to overnight at grandparents or friends house, and repaint.
?
I tend to think it will look okay once everything comes together. Do you mind sharing where the bedding is from-i love it and we are just starting the bedding hunt.
Thanks!

I purchased the bedding from Baby super mall.com it is called Harlow by Cocalo.
I think I'm going to go a shade darker and then call it a day, lol. I actually have the shade darker (a sample) and I like the way it looks a lot more.
ditto. we already painted and just ordered the fabric to make the bedding.
