WW Question..

Whats the difference between WW points/online and trying to just log your food and calorie intake? I have used Spark People in the past to log food and exercise. JUst wondering if it is worth it to do WW?

Re: WW Question..

  • Hi..

I have done both as well and I really feel that WW is the better way to go. It allows more flexibility with foods, IMO.

  • I've done both and really think SparkPeople is much better, especially if you aren't planning on going to the WW meetings. ?I don't remember the WW online site that well, but Spark People will keep track of so much more than just calories, fiber and protein. ?You can personalize what specific nutrients you want analyzed (like sodium or folic acid) and at the end of the day it breaks down your food intake by fat, carb, protein, etc. ?It's really helpful, I think, and in my opinion, gives a more authentic understanding of nutrition ?than "I have 5 more points today". ?
  • The biggest difference between doing WW online and keeping track on your own is that it's easier to let things go if you're doing it yourself. It's easier to forget to write it down, etc. I'm at that point now, since I stopped WW b/c of the cost. It's easier to stay on track w/ WW, though.
