She was very clearly showing us the goods, I knew the second the tech put the doppler on my belly, she wasn't being very ladylike!
I haven't been emotional or hormonal this whole pregnancy. I knew DH leaned towards a boy, and we found out it was a girl on Thursday. I had to completely adjust my mindset because DHs dad has 4 brothers, who all have several boys, and DH has one brother who has 2 boys, so I never even considered having a baby girl.
DH has acted very excited about everything, especially since both of our families wanted a girl and they are both here for the holiday weekend, but I knew he must be a tad bit disappointed.
Well apparently before our appointment on Thursday he and a good friend of mine were emailing back and forth. She sent me the email today, where she tells him that her boy is awesome and he will love if he has a boy. And his response was...."yeah, a boy would be nice, but nothing would melt my heart like a girl. I'd love to have a little girl, I'd be wrapped around her finger."
That makes me feel so much better, and I just love seeing that he really is happy about having a girl. He would never ever say otherwise, so I thought he was just acting happy. ![]()
Re: It's a girl, and DH brought me to tears
That's so sweet! When my DH found out our first was a girl, the first words out of his mouth were "I guess I need to invest in a shot gun." Our DD is such a daddy's girl and he loves it.
Welcome to Team Pink!
DH actually got emotial and was just grinning ear to ear when we heard out LO was a girl too. So unlike him, but so sweet to see!
How sweet!
My best friend recently had a little girl. The whole pregnancy her DH was a little bummed that they weren't having another boy. I was invited to attend them birth, and it was SO cute b/c the second her DH got his hands on that precious little girl, you could just see him melt - he was smitten right away! *sigh* So precious!
Congrats on your baby girl!
