Babies: 0 - 3 Months

While doing research on BC I came across this site - (I am thinking about Mirena)

I thought I would share it, as I thought it was very informative.

Still don't know what I am going to do... I wish there were more options for Breastfeeding mommas...

If anyone has advice... let me know

  • Have you considered Implanon? Just wanted to thow out another option that not too many people know about. I haven't decided what I want to do either- the options are so limited.

  • Hummmm... interesting?  Can you breastfeed with it?  Can it come out earlier?  Do you know how long after its removed does it take to get preggo?

Sorry for all the questions, if you don't know thats cool!  Thanks!

  • Ps your baby is adorable, and I love the name!
  • Thanks! Yes, you can breastfeed with it, fertility returns in only a few weeks after it is removed. It lasts for 3 years but you can take it out whenever you want. The number one side effect is irregular bleeding. It's been used abroad for over 10 years; on the market here for 3. You just need someone who is trained to insert and remove it. Most Planned Parenthoods offer it if your OB doesn't. Oh yeah, I'm a pharmacist (this is not a sales pitch!).
