How can I increase my supply aside from drinking a lot of water? I feel like it is slowing down and I know that part of it is from not drinking enough. I just pumped and only got 2 1/2 oz. total from both
Do you EP or do you nurse also? The best thing for your supply is to nurse as much as possible. Adding a pumping session might also help. Maybe LO is having a growth spurt which may make it seem like your supply has dipped?? I'd also check your pump - something may need to be replaced (like the valves) if it is suddenly less efficient.
Water definitely is good. Make sure you are eating enough too - especially protein. Oatmeal and brewers yeast are also supposed to be helpful (maybe try the recipe for lactation cookies).

I nurse but started pumping while I heal....Is it better to nurse over pumping and giving a bottle?
Thanks for the suggestions:-)
Nursing is the best way. And I've read on Kellymom.com that full time BF'ing moms can only get 1/2- 1 oz during pumping sessions.
But mother's milk tea, water, and oatmeal are supposed to help.
