I second it. It's really awesome. Also, the class doesn't just focus on birthing but also vaccinations and tips for the hospital.
This is what we are talking about next week! WOOHOO!
Did you know that the eye drops that they tell you are for bacteria in the eye are really for chlamydia and gonorrhea? If you don't have it, then why does baby need it? Hmm?
We did so much research into vaccinations. I know it's a hot button topic, so I won't get into it here, but let me know if you want to see our vaccination chart. It's not extreme - just slow.

Honestly.... every patient I have cared for in labor that have used hypnobirthing give it up at around 5-7 cm. Hope it works for you! Just remember to keep an open mind. Be careful writing a birth plan as they often jinx people. Just speaking from years of experience as an L&D RN.
Interesting. That wasn't the case for me. The other positive experience I had with Hypnobirth was it gave me the ability to relax so deeply that time flew by. My two hours of pushing felt like 15 minutes. I agree that one must keep an open mind with birth preferences, but I feel that knowing what my ideal situation was allowed me to communicate my wishes to my doula, my doctor, and my nurses. Also, when we did have to stray from my preferences, I knew that everyone had done everything possible to make things happen my ideal way.
They probably had staff around them at the time that don't fully believe/ understand the Hypnobirthing method. I have an open mind as far as knowing that things may happen that I was not expecting, but I don't believe that there will be a problem with the Hypnobirthing for me. If I were to have a CS, then that was what was meant to happen. I didn't jinx myself by planning on a vaginal birth. It will keep me in a relaxed state of mind and ready for my baby even if I didn't have a VB which would never have been the case before I took this class.
Re: Highly recommended birthing class!!
