Fussy baby after feeding

After feeding she is fussy moving around and most of the time ends up with the hiccups. It take me t least 30-60 min to put her back down, is this normal? Is the moving afround gas ? I plan to mention to Dr. on tuesday but thought I'd get some feed back.

Re: Fussy baby after feeding

  • Hiccups are very normal at this age.  DD got them almost every time she ate.  The fussiness could be from gas.  Is she burping well?

  • It sounds like gas, try to burp her more. My DS burps better when I rub his back instead of patting it.

This is what I did when DD was younger.

  • We have a hard time burping LO. I have him lay on his tummy on my thigh and I rub his back firmly. We try to burp him after every single ounce. It takes forever to feed him, but is super worth it. We also put mylicon in his bottles when we feed from a bottle. When I nurse we give it to him in the middle of the feeding.
