BRU Rewards & Registry

Looking for experience here...

We registered at BRU and at the time were told that any purchases made off our registry that were not credited to the purchaser's rewards card could be credited to ours. Well, it appears that no one's purchases from our shower were credited to our rewards. I find it hard to believe that every single person who bought from BRU has their own rewards card... So I checked the rewards FAQ on their website and it says, no, purchases from our registry can NOT be credited to our rewards card. Huh??

Also, we purchased a glider from BRU, in store, and I know we gave them our rewards #, but it's not showing up under our rewards purchases.  On their site it says there's a way to retro-credit purchases to make sure you get rewards credits for them. It says to log-in and click on the retro-rewards link, but there is no such link.

Anyone else have experience w/ the BRU rewards program and have any input?

Re: BRU Rewards & Registry

  • I know I was told the same when I registered and after my showers when I called to inquire was told the policy had changed and the only way to receive credit for gifts was to have the actual receipt.  Since that time though I believe they've even changed the retro-credit request function so you can no longer even do that.  Best bet is to call customer service and ask your specific questions - particularly on the glider since that seems like an error made in store.

  • I emailed the customer service department the same question and was told that they changed the policy and we (the registrants) no longer were going to get credit for other people's purchases on our registry.  They were sorry the policy changed but that was the company decision.  If the other people had cards they used they could get credit for their own purchases, but beyond that we are out of luck.
