  • I don't - just water, sometimes juice. BM is a meal or snack on its own.

When do you give it as a snack? ?How much??

  • We try to do solids 45-60 minutes after a BM bottle or nursing session.  With solids, DS gets his sippy of water and usually drinks an ounce on two.

  • No, DS gets a 6oz bottle and then an hour or so later solids with a sippy of water.
  • Because I want DD to keep BM as her main "food" for a while and I want her to stay well hydrated (she'd eat finger foods all day if I let her) I bf then give solids.

7:30am BF and solids(yogurt, fruit, maybe a little cereal)

10:30-11ish BF and some finger foods (avocado, banana, etc)

1:30-2ish  BF(I usually give her an oz of water in her sippy and some puffs to practice around this time too)

4:30-5 ish BF and veggie for dinner (she's moving away from purees so things like soft diced up sweet potato)

    7:15 BF

  • I breastfeed and give solids

1st feeding is just breastmilk then:

Breakfast - BM and oatmeal and fruit
Lunch - BM and fruit and veggie or meat and veggie
Dinner - just a veggie or just a fruit sometimes with rice cereal

nightime feeding 45 minutes to an hour before bed
