my overbearing MIL

So between my MIL and my SIL my phone rings approximately 5-10 times a day, no exageration(sp?). They call for insanely stupid reasons just to hear DH's voice. ARG!

So yesterday DH worked until 7pm, the phone rang at 7:08-MIL I was in the bathroom and missed the call... so she calls back at 7:16. I thought 'Is she going to call every 8 minutes until he is home???" ARRRGGGGGGG?

Caller ID - Worth EVERY penny! ?

    My MIL has not called DH or me ONE SINGLE TIME since we've been married.  I guess that's the opposite problem.

    My MIL calls our house, lets the phone ring twice.  That's DH's cue to call her back because she doesn't want to pay for long distance.

    I sympathize. FIL and StepMIL haven't called us  in 6 months. Actually, longer than that, because a mass text that says "Happy New Year" hardly counts as calling your only son. Ugh.

     

    To the OP, caller ID indeed a great invention :) At least she means well but it doeschange how annoying that is, I'm sure.
