Anyone else's baby only sleeping in seat or swing???

DS refuses to lay flat in crib, bassinet OR PNP. He will only sleep soundly in his bouncy seat...I have to move it into the bedroom at night and in the living room during the day...seems a little ridiculous to me, but it is the only place he will sleep!

Anyone else??? When/how did you switch???

  • Riley will only sleep in her crib at night on a wedge! During the day she will sleep in the swing or bounce seat. I think it's pretty funny that she will only sleep at night in the crib. She is already being picky

When ds was just brought home until he was about 2 weeks he only slept in his bouncer seat. After the two weeks we bought the co-sleeper thing from target that goes in bed inbetween dh and I which was a life saver!!!

  • Nathan will only sleep in the swing during the day or in his rocking chair (that comes out of the swing). At night he will sleep in his cradle, we'll see about the crib next week when we introduce that.

  • DS was like that for a while, he is still a bad sleeper.
DD would nap flat but at night needed to be in her swing for the first week now she sleeps pretty well in her crib. Do you swaddle? That is a huge help.

  • My son was this way the first 2 weeks....eventually he would wake up to eat and be lying flat at the bottom of the bouncy seat.... so he was basically telling me he was ready for flat sleeping.

Just do what works...your baby is so young and you need to get him to sleep and your rest however you can!!

  • I made a post exactly like this yesterday!  My boys sleep great in their chairs or swings, but the second they hit the mattress, they're awake and screaming.  It makes no sense.  We've tried crib positioners to keep them slightly elevated but that didn't work.  We've taken the path of least resistance and are just letting them sleep in the chairs or swings for now.  If we don't, DH and I get NO sleep, which isn't going to work when I'm here by myself with both of them during the day.  I don't think at their age (5 weeks) it's a bad thing.  We can work on the crib thing later when we're all a little more settled into things.  It's just so hard to do with twins!
  • DS will only nap in his swing.  When he was younger, he only napped in his bouncy seat.  He sleeps flat in his crib at night, but we also swaddle him at night.
