1st Trimester

WORST day of nausea EVERRRRR!!!!!! ugh :(

So I basically at 3 spoonfuls of cereal and an apple today.  I feel so horrible because I am STARVINGGGG but any and every type of food that I even look at or start to cook, makes me nauseous and disgusted.

I have NO energy obviously because I havent eaten anything and now I have a headach from it. 

I FEEL HORRIBLE!!!!!!!  DH just gave me a piece of bread and I scarfed it down so fast because it had no taste and didnt gross me out. 

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

  • Sorry girl!  I am right there with you.  I had some saltine crackers and a cup of crushed ice with lime juice, today.  It is discouraging and depressing!  Normal, non-pg people take their ability to eat for granted!!!

  • Oh honey I am so sorry! I wish I had some advice for you but I am clueless (first pg and all). Hang in there & mabye some crackers will help (chiche' right)
  • My worst day was when I threw up 8 times in a day.  It sucked.  Have you tried popsicles?  They helped me get my fluids.

  • awwwww sorry you girls are going thru the same torture!!!!!!  The weird thing is.... liquids dont bother me.  I've been drinking water and lime seltzer all day without a problem.  Its the chewing and swallowing and the smell of different foods that get me.... ugh

     Poor DH.. we just saw a KFC commercial and I said "YES!!!! Thats what I want!!! OMG KFC!!!" so he ran out to get some.... by the time he got back I couldnt even open the bag without gagging :(

    That is wonderful.  You can live without much food for now (especially if you try to get cals through liquids).  If you can keep down milk try the carnation instant breakfast mix.  I seriously would drink like 6 servings a day because it had vitamins in it I needed and was all that I could drink.

    The real problem is when you can't get fluids.  Then you end up going to the hospital to get fluids which totally sucks!

  • I'm there too! I just make myself eat something. Lately it's been toast or pasta for me and I am able to force myself eat some type of veggie and fruit so I can have energy. The thought of any food makes me want to run to the bathroom right now! eck.

     

    Also, I drink a herbalife shake in the morning!! SOOO YUMMY! and have it with toast. That gets my morning started off right with not much nausea, however m/s creeps up more at night for me so it is night sickness..

  • My lifesaver: Ensure "shakes." Each has about 250 calories and lots of vitamins. Drink them really cold--they're pretty gentle on the tummy and can help take way that sick/hungry feeling.

    I feel ya. Mine's been happening in the afternoons so I rush all day to get stuff done because once about 3 hits I'm useless.  I called the doctor today and he called in a prescription for me. I tried B6 vitamins (they help a lot of women, but not me) and sucking on lemons helped some.  Good luck!
  • Oh my gosh you poor thing!!! I hope that you get to feeling better soon. I'm on my 4th day of feeling sick... so far its fairly tolorable. I try and eat something everytime I start to feel sick. I made an extra pb&j sandwich today and at work kinda snacked on it when I started to feel bad. It seemed to help a little. I read that protein can help when you feel sick so I've been eating alot of peanut butter toast and sandwiches. I also heard that ginger helps so ginger snaps... or ginger ale can help ease the nausea, I have yet to try it though.
