I think that you all should throat punch this girl with me...

I was just talking to this girl who is about 2 weeks behind me in her pregnancy on FB.  I was telling her about our ordeal over the last couple of weeks/days and that I was now on bedrest until my appt on Thursday.  She then says to me, and I quote...

"You are sooo lucky.  If I were you, I would get up and walk around.  I can't wait to NOT be pregnant anymore.  I wish this baby would just come out already!  I've tried everything!!!!"

 

You have got to be fvcking kidding me.  I freaked out on her and then she blocked me.  Whatever, you have a son already and you should know that this is NOT something that you take for granted.  I'm crying now because I can't imagine WANTING my son out that badly.  He's not done yet damnit!

    I have mentally throat punched her for you.  I told DH the other day - I'm uncomfortable, I'm ready for him to be out - but I KNOW that he's not ready.  I was basically telling him to be patient with me for the next 7 weeks - crankiness is about to occur.  But I definitely want Baby to stay in there until he's done!  And the same for yours!!

    That girl needs to read a pregnancy book.  A preemie in the NICU isn't a treat, you should refer her to the preemie board and let them flame her.

    I'm cranky today and will gladly take part in a throat punch party.

    Odd that this girl thinks bedrest is lucky and wants her child out at 30 weeks Hmm Sure everyone gets tired of being pregnant, but I want him to stay put until September!

    Yes I have said that I'm done being pregnant and just want him out now but when I say that, I mean I want him to be full term already and be healthy when he comes out.  This girl told me that she has tried castor oil and everything... She is soooo stupid.  I'm just really upset now.. Damn you hormones, damn you!!!

    What an awful thing to say...yes, sometimes I say that I'm ready to be done too, but not until she's ready to come out and not be in the NICU!  I'm taking 5 shots of insulin a day so that she can stay out of the NICU when she's born...and this moron is trying to get the baby out early guaranteeing a NICU stay?  ::Mental throat punch thrown her way::

    First of all, she sounds like someone who should not be able to procreate.

    Second of all, You sound like your head is definitely in the right place and I give you a lot of credit because I was on bed rest for just a few days and thought I was going to go out of my mind. 

    Third of all, good luck with everything and take care of yourself and your LO!!!

    This woman should be reported to CPS, good thing most induction methods are old wives tales. I hope you make it to 40 weeks!!

    Some times I say that I am tired of being pregnant, but I know that she has to keep cooking for at least two weeks and the longer the better. She needs to read a book so she knows what it would be like to have a baby that early.

    some people are complete?idiots! i understand the frustration of being uncomfortable while pg but what an unsympathetic thing to say! my prayers are with you and your ds, that he stay in until he's finished cooking ;)

    I can't beleive that...my son came at 27wks 3 days and has spent 61 days and counting in the NICU...She really needs to think about what she is wishing for....shame on her...

    I think some people just don't get it. There are women who pray to have their babies wait to come out and have to deal with NICU and all of those heart wrenching moments because of having a baby early.  I wouldn't wish that on ANYONE let alone try to make it happen myself.

    Selfish people will never change.

    What an Idiot..I work in an NICU as a nurse and would NEVER EVER wish that mine or anyone elses baby come out prematurely. Things can go wrong even with a full term baby so why anyone would want to have a baby early is besides me. Yes you get tired, and you want them to come out so that you can meet them, but when they are fullly ready to, not when you want them to. Thats just selfish. Oh man people are silly!

    Bed rest sucks, but try to keep that little man in there as long as possible. 

    Good luck hun, and don't let other peoples stupidy stress you!

    Ohh That sucks.. Its pretty sad to think that pple want their babies out that early. I have been on this medicine for a week and a half (still having bad contractions sometimes) and im just hoping to make it to 37 weeks at this point. but somethings telling me different.. I think its so selfish to want a baby out like that. every week counts imo and to me if you are 39+ then you have reason to complain and want it out! I have had such bad cramps. but im praying she stays in till shes *ok* to come out.. Good Luck!
