Anyone else still down weight? not gained at all?

With my 1st pregnancy I started out at a low weight, especially for myheight, gained about 45lbs, never lost any of it, 1 year later ended up gaining about 10-15 more(I turned 21 lol). My 2nd pregnancy I started out at my highest weight ever, lets just say closer to 200 than I'd ever like to be again, well I ended up with hyperemesis and lost over 25lbs during my pregnancy, never gaining any of that back during. I lost 3 pant sizes during my pregnancy(very nice but I was deathly ill to get that way and I went to 42 weeks and was still puking the day I had her). I gained about 12 of that back by the time I got pregnant this time and have had mild hyperemesis again and no appetite so I'm down almost 13lbs now. And as you can see from my sig picture, I'm not overweight at all. My 2nd pregnancy they weren't overally concerned about me having lost that weight because I was overweight, right at the top of what I should be(I'm 5'9) but since I'm starting out almost 20lbs lighter this time, they are really concerned, especially since I lost 25lbs over 42 weeks last time and already 13 over 18 weeks. Anyone else lost and not gained anything back yet?

  • I've lost 10lbs since the start of pg.  I went to my Dr. appt today and now have been told to eat 6 low fat mini-meals a day. This is because my m/s is so bad.  I am hell-bent on gaining weight this month.

  • I am down 5 pounds. I'm overweight though and my OB said it's okay if I don't gain any weight while pregnant. I just don't have an appetite lately.

  • im still down by 6. weird for me b/c i gained alot of weight and fast with my other 2 pgs.
  • I'm still down 15 lbs this pregnancy from where I started. I'm the same way- no appetite, still having occasional nausea/vomiting. Just when I think, oh, maybe I can eat and make up some ground, bam, I get sick again. I have a little extra fluff to spare though, so I figure if my body needs the calories, it can steal from my fat stores- I'm trying to be a good girl about my prenatals, and what I do manage to scarf down, I try to make sure it's healthy (though honestly, processed, crappy carbs are what taste best and go down easiest right now!). Maybe you could try drinking some Ensure or something like that, to help with the calorie intake? Has your Dr given any advice?
  • I lost some before I started gaining, I don't know what to tell you.  However it must make you feel a little better to see a bump. At least you know the baby is growing
  • I have not gained any weight yet. OB said this is completely fine, as I started out about 15 pounds overweight.

  • ya my tummy is sure getting bigger and baby is measuring a few days ahead so we're fine on the baby front, you have an 85% chance of having hyperemesis to some extent if you've had it before, I'm just glad I don't have it like last time and it's mild, it was so bad before I was puking 30-40 times a day, I had to carry a bucket in my car to stop on the side of the road and puke, poor Ava was only 4 so it scared her, she thought I was dying. Last time I was put on ensure and some really high calorie shake also, I can't remember what it is and it didn't help. when I got preg. last time I was 183 the day I had Carys when she was still inside me I was 158 and she was 8lbs 3 1/2 oz. so it was bad. I'd like if this one would eat a little of my thighs though lol.
  • as of my last OB appt i'm still down 13 but my dr isn't worried bc of my pre-preg weight. she said i might not gain any, as long as baby is healthy (and she is) that i'm fine.

  • im down 11 right now but i started out a little chubby so its okay for me.

  • I've only gained 2.5 pounds since my 8 week appointment and my doctor told me today I need to gain more.  It's been really hard because I get full so fast right now!

  • I swear I eat normally, and often, and even fatty food, but I have not gained a pound. I started at 192.2, and now at 21.5 weeks, I'm at about 189.5. Grr! I just am glad that the less weight I put on, the less I'll have to get rid of. And I know that I started out with... extra :P
